Serves on the Board of Directors Email Communications Heritage and Publicity Committee Member
For several years Iris has been working on many local family genealogies as well as community histories of Mainland South area. She has contibuted monthy articles called Discovering Our Past to the local newspaper, Chebucto News, since 1999. Iris serves on the Board of several organizations, namely Mainland South Heritage Society, Association of Health Sciences Archives and Museums of Nova Scotia (AHSAMNS). Nursing History Nova Scotia Society (NHNSS), and is Secretary for Victoria General Hospital School of Nuring Alumni.
She is co-author with Heather Watts of the book called Deadman’s: Melville Island and Its Burial Ground.
